What is the Yoga With Shawna Sister Studio Program?

 

The Yoga With Shawna Sister Studio Program provides you with a turnkey yoga studio or wellness center and the support of a successful yoga studio to help make owning a yoga studio much easier than opening one by yourself. It is not a franchise or partnership but a business relationship where you create your own name and brand while using the support of the Yoga With Shawna model. 

 

Why join the Sister Studio program as opposed to just starting your own studio? 

In joining the Sister Studio program at Yoga With Shawna you are investing in many perks and opportunities. This program provides you with all of the tools you need to open a successful studio. 

 

What is included in the Sister Studio program?

Through being a part of the Sister Studio program you will receive assistance with:

• Business Plan: including but not limited to researching  for prime location, pricing, scheduling offerings that have been proven to be successful in the field of yoga and wellness, marketing, etc 

• Branding: including  but not limited to developing logo, business name, website development, social media, etc 

• Business logistics: including but not limited to opening a business bank account to establishing your business legally to obtaining proper licensing and permits to  setting up bookkeeping and in house protocols, policies and software use, etc

• Budgeting: including but not limited obtaining a loan or investors, strategic investing, projections and goals,  etc

• Studio Build Out: we create a turnkey studio and retail shop based upon your design criteria and budget: the stress is ours. We simply give you the key and the business plan and you get to work. We take care of everything from  using our contacts to find the perfect space, to lease negotiations to the literal build out of the studio 

• Freedom for you to design as much as you want and be included in as much or little of the process as possible 

• Business Consulting throughout this entire planning process and yearly, meeting quarterly guiding you on all things from logistics to marketing to investing to leading classes, retreats, workshops and more. 

• Affiliations and joint marketing efforts with Yoga With Shawna + sister studios for support, networking, and growth 

• 30-70% profit on Yoga WIth Shawna teacher trainings

• Mentorship consulting from Shawna 

 

What is the investment? 

To qualify for this program you must have at least $150,000 to invest or qualify for at least a $150,000 loan. If you do not have the cash on hand or an investor, this program even helps assist you in the loan process to begin your business. Even if you get denied for your loan, you will learn what steps you need to take to one day be able to open your own business. Aside from the initial $150,000 investment, sister studios pay a yearly 5% royalty fee to Yoga With Shawna. 

 

Who should apply? 

The desired applicant must have:

•  the time to nurture and nourish a new yoga studio

•  the funds or access to the funds/be willing to take out a loan if necessary to take a risk to invest in the financial

• although business sense is encouraged, it is not required; rather, what is required is an open mind and ability to be dedicated, work hard, and learn. Being part of the sister studio  means you receive consulting and mentorship 

 

How long does it take to open a yoga studio? 

Studios can be opened within a few weeks to within a year or more.  Acquiring the funds is typically what takes the most amount of time. TIme equals money so, we will assess the situation to move forward. We avoid paying for a lease while not conducting business. We will use smarts to ensure you are making money as soon as possible and money loss is as minimal as possible. 

 

I don’t have the cash on hand, does this program help me get a loan or should I try to find a loan myself? 

Yoga WIth Shawna has connections with the SBA and will assist you in the entire process of getting a loan if you would like this help (this help is strongly encouraged). If you do not get approved for the loan, we will learn why that happened and then can come up with a plan for you to get approved for the future. Please note, there is an initial start up fee of $2500 that must upon enrolling in the  Sister Studio program.

Yes, a free 15 minute consultation is provided. Also note that you are not committed until you sign the contract and this would not happen until after our interview decision is made. 

 

How do I apply? 

Serious applicants will fill out the application. If Yoga With Shawna is interested in your application, you will be notified to set up an interview. If you are chosen from the interview, we will get to work creating the timeline, contracts and paperwork needed to bring your dream business to life. 

 

If this sister studio limited to only yoga? 

No. Yoga With Shawna is a multi-faced yoga studio with many offerings. We are able to create ANY wellness space with any offering in the field of holistic health. 

 

Can I open my sister studio anywhere?

Sister studios can be open anywhere in the United States. Shawna has many connections in San Diego  County along with the Joshua Tree and Yosemite area.  Our business goal is to collaborate with a set number of people who want to open their own yoga studio and see it thrive. The goal is to help at least 50 new yoga studios open in San Diego and 50 more yoga studios to open throughout the country throughout the next ten years.
